    • If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, we may charge the costs for the treatment. Of course we look at the circumstances.

    • If you have fever, the flu, a transmited skin condition or cancer please inform me in advance.

    • Erotic or sexual massages are not a part of the services I provide. Any clients attempting to solicit such services will be asked to pay for the booked session, leave, and never return again.

  • Your first visit is for a diagnostic consultation and if you have made an appointment for acupuncture, your first treatment will be included.

    I will be informed about your medically relevant information and examine your tongue and your pulse. A brief physical examination will be conducted where necessary.

  • No, the needles do not hurt. In fact, most people barely feel anything when needles are inserted. Some people feel a slight pinch, and others ask “Is it in yet?” Acupuncture needles are solid, flexible, and very, very thin (about the width of two hairs).

    There are certain sensations associated with the therapeutic effects of acupuncture. These may include slight cramping, heaviness, distention, tingling or electric sensation traveling along a meridian. If any discomfort is experienced, it is usually mild and temporary.

  • Japanese acupuncture needles are painless. Japanese acupuncture needles are normally very thin (less than 0.2mm thin in diameter and less than 3cm long). These needle points are virtually hair thin and have a special shape to ensure painless treatment. The insert depth, if necessary, is normally very shallow (just slightly below the skin surface at approximately 0.5mm)

  • The frequency of treatment depends on your medical condition. What is being treated, how long you have had the condition/imbalance for, and your lifestyle. In general, acute conditions resolve fairly quickly with acupuncture. Chronic conditions can take a few months of regular acupuncture treatments. Lasting results are seen quicker when the patient is actively working with their diet, lifestyle.

    Many conditions respond faster to frequent acupuncture treatments, while other patients only need to come in once a week. Once your condition is stabilized, you won’t need to come in as frequently. When you come in for your first treatment, we’ll formulate a specific treatment plan for you.

  • Yes, you can combine acupuncture with any other type of health care or exercise at any time. We encourage you to do any other activities that help you to feel your best.

  • Eat a light meal or snack before and wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes.

  • Patients typically report feeling very relaxed or energized afterwards. Please don’t plan on any strenuous exercise for two hours after your treatment. Sometimes a small red dot will appear where the needle was placed and typically goes away within a few hours. If you are having an adjunct therapy applied, such as cupping, small circular bruising will appear that disappear within a few days but can last up to one week.

  • Yes, acupuncture is safe during pregnancy and fantastic to prepare for labor. It can safely treat many common ailments such as:

    -Morning sickness

    -Back pain

    -Fatigue

    -Indigestion, reflux, constipation

    -Anxiety and insomnia
